GOVERNOR WARNER ANNOUNCES 50 JOBS AND $1.6 MILLION INVESTMENT IN CITY OF DANVILLE
-TWM Cabling Solutions is 10th Danville project announced in 13 months-

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that TWM Cabling Solutions, Inc. will invest $1.6 million and create 50 new jobs in the City of Danville. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project.

“The City of Danville was able to offer a high-tech existing facility in a location that provides access to the company’s target market by way of Highway 29,” said Governor Warner. “It is a win-win situation: TWM Cabling Solutions will benefit from the attributes of the area, including a readily available workforce, and Danville gains 50 new jobs.”

Headquartered in Providence, N.C., TWM Cabling Solutions is a contract manufacturing specialist for wire and cable assemblies. The company manages the raw material supply chain, builds and test the products, and ships to end-users in North America, Europe and Asia. TWM Cabling Solutions, a member of the Wiring Harness Manufacturers' Association (WHMA), offers quality workmanship at reasonable cost.

“Danville was chosen for many reasons – its top quality workforce, the visionary business-friendly local government and the community’s ability to deliver a development-ready facility that met our needs in a timely fashion,” said Michael Duncan, General Manager of TWM Cabling Solutions, Inc. “We are very excited about the future and look forward to continuing our growth in our new home.”

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with officials from the City of Danville to secure the project for Virginia. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide training assistance through its Workforce Services Program.

“There can be no doubt, the City of Danville’s economic development efforts are red hot,” said Jerry L. Gwaltney, City Manager. “We are proud that such a quality company as TWM selected Danville to accommodate their growth, and we are confident that our pro-business climate will enhance their bottom line. Today’s declaration by TWM represents the 10th project announced in the City of Danville over the past 13 months – delivering more than 2,000 new jobs to our area.”
