--Company invests in Fairfax County and creates 108 jobs- -

Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Creative Technology Incorporated will expand in Fairfax County. The company provides business solutions to clients in the areas of e-business, information management and information security. Creative Technology will hire 108 new employees with experience in information technology, web design, and application and systems engineering. The company will invest $1 million in this expansion.

"We are pleased to see information technology firms expanding in the Commonwealth," said Governor Gilmore. "As the Internet Capital of the world, Virginia is fertile ground for the growth of companies just like Creative Technology."

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority assisted Creative Technology with its decision. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide workforce training services.

Creative Technology Incorporated is an information technology consulting firm headquartered in Herndon, Va. As a recognized leader in the IT field, Creative Technology offers a complete range of innovative solutions specifically focused on enhancing and extending business for commercial and government clients. The Virginia expansion includes a new state-of-the-art technology laboratory and demonstration facility, as well as a training center that can accommodate up to 150 students. The expansion will further solidify the company's commitment to its clients and staff to provide world-class solutions using the latest technology.

"We are proud to be part of Virginia's expanding and successful technology community. Northern Virginia has been strategic to our business success, due in part to the wealth of technology and academic resources available to us, as well as an excellent quality of life for our staff members," said James T. Flannery, President and CEO of Creative Technology, Incorporated.

"This expansion is proof of Virginia's pro-business climate," said Secretary of Commerce and Trade Barry E. DuVal. "Creative Technology will benefit from Virginia's technology professionals and leading academic institutions."
