Governor McDonnell Announces 50 New Jobs in Fairfax County
-Cyber Security Firm NetWitness Corporation to Expand Virginia HQ-

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell announced today that NetWitness Corporation, provider of the world’s most powerful network security monitoring platform, will invest $1.1 million to expand its Virginia headquarters and operation in Fairfax County. The project will create at least 50 new jobs.

Speaking about today’s announcement, Governor McDonnell said, “NetWitness Corporation provides a critical defense technology in this complex technology age. This expansion further supports the company’s recent designation as the third fastest growing company in the Washington, D.C. area by the Washington Business Journal, and the 21st Fastest Growing Private Company in the U.S. by Inc. Magazine. Fairfax County is obviously a good fit for the company, and I welcome the creation of more than 50 new jobs in addition to the investment NetWitness will make into the local economy.”

“Cyber security is essential in time of increased risks to information systems, and NetWitness serves high-profile clients in both the local region and around the world,” said Jim Cheng, Secretary of Commerce and Trade. “The company is thriving and I am confident that this expansion will be followed by continued future growth.”
